【 Linuo Classroom 】: Common faults, cause analysis and measures of adsorption dryer

The faults of adsorption dryers can be divided into three categories: organic, load, and regenerative.

1. Organic malfunction
Organic faults are mainly caused by damage to a component of the dryer, such as valve damage, controller failure, etc. The end of the working life or external force damage is the main reason for the occurrence of faults. So it is necessary to conduct regular inspections and repairs on the equipment, timely replace vulnerable parts such as seals, mufflers, filters, etc., and regularly replace adsorbent materials such as alumina, molecular sieves, silica gel, etc.

2. Load related faults
Load failure is mainly caused by overloading of the dryer, and its main manifestation is an increase in outlet dew point. The main reasons are:
Increase the processing capacity of compressed air;
The intake temperature of B has increased;
C intake pressure drops;
During the intake process, there is a periodic presence of liquid water.
So it is necessary to verify on site whether the on-site working conditions match the ordering conditions. If there is any discrepancy, it is necessary to negotiate with the user in a timely manner for self-protection, especially for item d "liquid water is present during the intake stage", which is not easy to detect. It is necessary to carefully observe the pipeline layout and equipment layout from the outlet of the air compressor to the inlet of the dryer. Understand whether there are underground pipelines, whether there is a drainage outlet at the lowest point of the pipeline, and whether the drainage is unobstructed. Understand the water removal status of its water removal equipment, whether the water removal is thorough, and whether there will be periodic liquid water.

3. Regenerative faults
Regenerative failures are mainly caused by incomplete regeneration of the dryer. Its main manifestation is also an increase in export dew point. The main reasons include:
The regeneration heating temperature is not high enough,
The regeneration heating gas volume is not large enough,
The regeneration heating time is not enough,
Especially for phenomenon B, if the heating temperature is too high, the heating time is too long, and the regeneration exhaust temperature cannot rise, resulting in insufficient regeneration time, the reason may be that there are too many bends in the exhaust pipe or the exhaust muffler filter is blocked, causing the regeneration gas path to be blocked, the regeneration gas volume to be too small, and the heating temperature to rise. Consider optimizing the exhaust pipeline to ensure a smooth regeneration exhaust path; At the same time, regularly clean or replace the exhaust muffler filter to prevent it from blocking and affecting the smooth flow of the regeneration air path. This can improve the regeneration performance of the dryer and avoid the occurrence of regenerative failures.
