The Core Difference Between Reheated and Non-Reheated Refrigerated Dryers

1. No warming up
Workflow: The high‑temperature, humid gas enters the evaporator directly and is rapidly cooled to approximately 2–10°C (the pressure dew point, which can be adjusted according to actual operating conditions). At this temperature, the water vapor in the gas condenses into liquid water and is discharged through a gas–water separator. The cooled, low‑temperature gas is then delivered directly from the dryer into the downstream gas‑distribution pipeline.
Technical features: The outlet gas temperature is low; this is a functional option designed to meet the requirements of downstream equipment.

2. Temperature Recovery (with Pre-cooler)
Workflow: A gas-to-gas heat exchanger has been added.
(1) Pre-cooling section: The high-temperature inlet gas first undergoes heat exchange with the low-temperature product gas that is about to be discharged in the pre-cooler, achieving initial cooling while the low-temperature product gas is preliminarily warmed.
(2) Deep Cooling Section: The pre-cooled gas enters the evaporator, where it is cooled to the pressure dew point, causing moisture to condense and be removed.
(2) Reheating section (gas returns to the precooler): After moisture has been removed, the low‑temperature product gas re-enters the precooler, absorbs heat from the incoming air, and is reheated to a temperature that is typically about 10°C lower than the inlet air temperature before being discharged.
Technical features: The outlet gas temperature is high; the precooler helps the system recover energy, thereby reducing the overall energy consumption of the equipment.
